Unleashing Leadership Potential (ULP) is an organisation focused on leadership and community development. Founded by Prof. Maurice Radebe, it began as a small initiative but has since grown into a prominent platform for promoting leadership excellence. ULP has hosted influential business people and leaders from various sectors, impacting countless lives through its leadership conversations.

The idea for ULP was conceptualised by Prof. Radebe at a leadership retreat during his time as an executive at Sasol, shortly after turning 50. Over the years, ULP evolved beyond its initial small group, moving to the ULP House, where monthly gatherings of around 120 people engage top leaders. This includes over 60 CEOs, board chairpersons, politicians, and former cabinet ministers, who have shared their insights and experiences with the ULP community. Prof. Radebe invited these accomplished leaders, who willingly contribute to ULP’s mission. He believes that those who have achieved success are naturally inclined to give back and share their knowledge to help others navigate their own journeys.
ULP has always valued the power of the written word for preserving knowledge.

Recognising this, Prof. Radebe and the team recorded the leadership conversations, which are now being compiled into books. This is the first in a series aiming to extend ULP’s impact by capturing the wisdom shared during these sessions and making it accessible to a broader audience:
